Reusable packaging cleaning for containers, trays and pallets
Our core service is the professional cleaning of reusable packaging, from small boxes to large pallets. We are experienced specialists in cleaning containers, trays, and pallets of all kinds made from plastic and other non-organic materials.
We use a multi-stage washing process in modern facilities, complemented by manual cleaning steps when needed, to remove even stubborn dirt and labels completely.
What Do We Clean?
We clean virtually all types of containers and pallets. Our washing systems handle plastic crates, trays, lids, plastic pallets, and more, from small containers (starting at 150×100 mm) to large pallet boxes (up to 1200×1000 mm base area and 600 mm height). Even flat items such as lids or ESD trays are effectively cleaned in a specially designed system. Thanks to our long-standing experience, we meet the cleaning requirements of every industry, from hygiene-sensitive food and pharmaceutical containers to robust industrial pallets. We always clean in accordance with our customers’ specific quality standards.

Our mechanical washing process consists of several stages:
First, coarse dirt is removed in the pre-wash. This is followed by a main wash with detergent-based water, then a hot rinse for neutralization, and finally drying with hot air. The wash water reaches temperatures of 60–80 °C, ensuring that germs and residues are effectively eliminated.
After the washing cycle, your containers are thoroughly clean, rinsed, and dry, with only minimal residual moisture that evaporates within 1-2 hours. They can be used again immediately afterwards.
Drying time comparison: Fast vs. Demanding
Not every container dries at the same speed. Our modern washing systems are optimized for a wide range of container types, from easily dried trays to complex pallets with limited airflow. Thanks to hot-air drying and intelligent temperature control, we ensure that even products with longer drying times are returned completely dry.

Our cleaning processes are designed for resource efficiency, closed water circuits and precise dosing significantly reduce the consumption of water and detergents. Which types of containers can be cleaned by Pooltec’s service?
We clean almost all types of plastic packaging, from small KLT boxes and ESD trays to large pallet containers. Even flat parts such as lids or trays are efficiently cleaned in a specially designed system. Sizes range from 200×150 mm up to 1200×1000 mm and up to 600 mm in height. Our facilities are optimized for various shapes and meet the cleaning requirements of all industries.
How exactly does the cleaning process at Pooltec work?
Our cleaning process follows a multi-stage washing procedure. First, coarse dirt is removed during the pre-wash. This is followed by a main wash with detergent-based water, then a hot rinse for neutralization, and finally hot-air drying. With water temperatures reaching up to 80 °C, germs and residues are effectively eliminated. The entire washing process is germ-free. The result: Clean, dry, and immediately reusable containers, even for complex shapes or heavily soiled items.
Does Pooltec offer cleanroom container cleaning?
No, Pooltec does not offer cleanroom cleaning. Our production and processes are not geared toward cleanrooms.
Are labels removed in the cleaning system?
No, the labels are not removed in the system. For this reason, we offer manual cleaning.
Does heavy soiling come off reusable containers?
Depending on the degree of soiling and the nature of the container, not all contaminants come off, which is why we offer manual cleaning.
Is the conductivity of ESD containers impaired during cleaning?
No, conductivity is not impaired. Upon request, we can send you our document with the measurements.
Duty to Declare: Health and Environmental Protection
The Client is subject to a strict duty to declare. Prior to delivery, the Client is obligated to inform the Contractor in writing of any health-hazardous or environmentally hazardous substances, as well as any residues thereof, contained in the containers intended for cleaning. In the absence of such prior notification, the Client legally confirms upon handover of the goods that the containers are free of hazardous residues and that the cleaning can be carried out under safe conditions for employees and in compliance with applicable environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
