State-of-the-art washing technology
with cleaning process based on the cascade principle
State-of-the-Art Cleaning Technology
Pooltec operates two ultra-modern washing systems that meet the latest standards in cleaning technology and environmental compatibility. Each system is optimized for different types of containers, for example, a dedicated line is available specifically for flat items such as lids and trays. Our focus: thorough cleaning with maximum resource efficiency.
Cleaning Process Based on the Cascade Principle
Our systems clean in four stages, where water is reused in a cascading process. The steps at a glance:
- Pre-wash Zone (~40 °C): Soaking and loosening of coarse dirt.
- Main Wash Zone (55–60 °C): Intensive cleaning using an alkaline detergent (lye-based).
- Rinse Zone (60–80 °C): Hot rinse for neutralization, with an acid-based drying agent used as a rinse aid.
- Drying Zone (60–80 °C): Warm-air drying ensures that containers exit the process with minimal residual moisture.
Thanks to the cascade principle, water is reused multiple times, significantly reducing overall consumption. Optimized water management within the washing zones also lowers energy requirements. In addition, the temperature in each zone can be individually adjusted to the material type and level of contamination.
Resource Efficiency and Technology
Our washing systems set new standards in sustainability. They are equipped with exhaust heat recovery and an integrated heat pump to keep heating energy within a closed cycle. For example, cold fresh water is preheated as it passes through the exhaust air condenser, where it absorbs waste heat from the system, significantly reducing heating energy consumption.
Detergent savings
Our systems are exemplary when it comes to chemical usage as well: An electronic control system continuously monitors the detergent concentration and automatically regenerates the washing solution. Thanks to this intelligent dosing technology, we have reduced detergent consumption by up to 70% compared to conventional systems. Overall, our washing systems are characterized by significantly lower resource consumption, in terms of water, energy, and chemicals, without compromising on cleaning performance.
Questions and Answers About Our Washing Systems
Do the containers really come out of the system dry?
Yes. Thanks to the integrated hot-air drying zone, all containers and pallets exit our system with minimal residual moisture. Products dry completely overnight and are wrapped, stretched, and packed the following day.
How environmentally friendly are the washing systems?
Very environmentally friendly. Our washing systems are designed to save both water and energy. Thanks to the multi-stage circulation system (cascade principle), we can reuse water several times and significantly reduce consumption. An automatic dosing control ensures that no more detergent than necessary is used, saving up to 70% compared to conventional systems. We also use heat recovery and heat pumps to reuse heating energy. Overall, this results in a significantly lower environmental footprint than traditional washing technology.
What container sizes can be cleaned in the systems?
Our systems are highly flexible. We can clean small containers starting from 150×100 mm as well as large pallet boxes up to 1200×1000 mm and 600 mm in height. With special holding fixtures and adjustable water pressure, we can safely process both lightweight ESD trays and heavy pallets through the entire washing cycle.
