What specific advantages does Pooltec’s cleaning service offer my company?

You save time, resources, and internal capacity, we handle the entire process, including logistics, sorting, and return transport. Your reusable containers are returned dry, clean, and ready for use. At the same time, you contribute to sustainability: our process reduces water, energy, and CO₂ consumption. With our extensive experience across industries, you get exactly the service your containers need, efficient, eco-friendly, and reliable.

What types of containers and pallets can be cleaned?

We clean almost all types of plastic containers, boxes, pallets, and similar items, including Euro containers, KLT boxes, ESD trays, plastic pallets, and lids. In terms of size, we handle small parts starting from 150×100 mm up to Euro pallets (1200×1000 mm, up to 600 mm high). The only important requirement is that the material must be non-organic, we do not clean wooden pallets or cardboard, as our process is designed for water-resistant materials.

How exactly does the cleaning process at Pooltec work?

Our cleaning process follows a multi-stage washing procedure. First, coarse dirt is removed during the pre-wash. This is followed by a main wash with detergent-based water, then a hot rinse for neutralization, and finally hot-air drying. With water temperatures reaching up to 80 °C, germs and residues are effectively eliminated. The entire washing process is germ-free. The result: Clean, dry, and immediately reusable containers, even for complex shapes or heavily soiled items.

Does Pooltec offer cleanroom container cleaning?

No, Pooltec does not offer cleanroom cleaning. Our production and processes are not geared toward cleanrooms.

Does Pooltec also offer pickup and delivery services?

Yes. On request, we handle the transport logistics for your containers. In cooperation with a logistics partner, we organize both pickup and return delivery of your cleaned containers. Flexibility in pickup and delivery times is part of our standard service, we schedule according to your operational needs. Simply get in touch with us to arrange the details.

Are labels removed in the cleaning system?

No, the labels are not removed in the system. For this reason, we offer manual cleaning.

Does heavy soiling come off reusable containers?

Depending on the degree of soiling and the nature of the container, not all contaminants come off, which is why we offer manual cleaning.

Is the conductivity of ESD containers impaired during cleaning?

No, conductivity is not impaired. Upon request, we can send you our document with the measurements.

Do the containers really come out of the system dry?

Yes. Thanks to the integrated hot-air drying zone, all containers and pallets exit our system with minimal residual moisture. Products dry completely overnight and are wrapped, stretched, and packed the following day.

How environmentally friendly are the washing systems?

Very environmentally friendly. Our washing systems are designed to save both water and energy. Thanks to the multi-stage circulation system (cascade principle), we can reuse water several times and significantly reduce consumption. An automatic dosing control ensures that no more detergent than necessary is used, saving up to 70% compared to conventional systems. We also use heat recovery and heat pumps to reuse heating energy. Overall, this results in a significantly lower environmental footprint than traditional washing technology.

What container sizes can be cleaned in the systems?

Our systems are highly flexible. We can clean small containers starting from 150×100 mm as well as large pallet boxes up to 1200×1000 mm and 600 mm in height. With special holding fixtures and adjustable water pressure, we can safely process both lightweight ESD trays and heavy pallets through the entire washing cycle.

Is Pooltec’s cleaning service truly climate neutral?

Yes. Since 2022, we have been operating completely climate neutral. This means we offset all unavoidable CO₂ emissions generated during cleaning, drying, and transport through certified myclimate projects. Upon request, we can even provide documentation confirming the CO₂ compensation for your specific order.

How does the photovoltaic system reduce CO₂ emissions?

Our solar installation on the facility roof supplies a large share of our electricity needs. Every kilowatt hour of solar power replaces electricity from the grid (which may partially come from fossil sources). As a result, the CO₂ footprint of each washing process is significantly reduced because far less conventional energy is required. In short: thanks to solar power, we clean with substantially fewer CO₂ emissions.

How does Pooltec save water and chemicals?

We use a four-stage washing system based on the cascade principle, where rinse water is reused for the pre-wash. This greatly reduces the amount of fresh water we need to add. We also use intelligent detergent dosing: sensors continuously monitor the cleaning solution and keep it at the optimal concentration. This prevents overdosing and allows us to reduce chemical consumption by up to 70%. This combination of a water reuse cycle and smart dosing control makes our process extremely efficient.

Does Pooltec support the circular economy for plastic containers?

Absolutely. We work closely with all Utz production sites and partner recycling centers on all recycling matters. Defective or worn-out plastic containers are collected separately and sent for recycling instead of being discarded. The material flows back into the production cycle of the Utz Group, where it can be reused in new products. This way, we close the material loop and help reduce plastic waste.
